About Destination Canada
Since 2003, Destination Canada has become the forum in France and Belgium for information about working and living in Canada.
Through presentations by the Embassy of Canada in France, up to 800 pre-screened participants, each day, will discover the county's diversity and learn about the opportunities to work temporarily or live permanently in Canada.
Representatives of Canada's provinces and territories, as well as Francophone communities across the country will give participants a taste of the welcome that awaits them and the services that can help them get settled.
As a Canadian Employer, you can be present with job offers in any field: hospitality, translation, I.T., multimedia, engineering, education, healthcare, agriculture, transportation, etc. Your job postings will be received in advance by our partner organizations in France, Belgium and Tunisia; public agencies for employment and international mobility. Their counsellors will select applicants from over 14, 000 CVs submitted via the event website, and among candidates registered in their databases. Other participants will have the opportunity to meet with you in person, at the event.
There is no fee for booth or equipment rental for Canadian employers and no participation fee for candidates. Local travel and transportation of display materials will be provided free if charge by the Embassy. The Megatour travel agency will offer an accommodation package, including hotel and breakfast in Paris and Brussels, at the rate of 1245 Euros (less than 1800 $CAD). Ground transportation will be from those hotels. Reservations are now open on www.megatour.com/canadaCanadian participants will receive a promotional code giving them a 10% discount on Air Canada, the official Canadian airline for the event.

Why should I participate?
"Destination Canada - Job Fair" gives you access to a pool of workers with a wide variety of skills in France and Belgium. Your recruitment will be supported by employment counsellors specialized in international mobility - a guarantee that your needs will be understood and the best candidates identified.
France has a population of 64 million and Belgium 10 million. A great number of persons in both countries are interested in Canada and in acquiring North American experience. Both countries have a high level of education and training and their economies are very diversified. The following sectors have been identified as having particularly high potential for qualified and mobile applicants: hospitality and food industry, IT, multimedia, translation, aeronautics and avionics, finance. This list is not exclusive: if you submit your job offers quickly, the employment counsellors can start to look for the best candidates right away.
What kind of visa or permit will the applicant need?
-
The job offer may be temporary or permanent.
-
In order to be able to bring the candidates you select to Canada quickly, you should obtain Labour Market Opinions for the positions to be filled in advance of Destination Canada: http://cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/index.asp
-
Many participants will be eligible for temporary work permits under the International Experience Canada initiative, without a Labour Market Opinion or confirmation of the job offer by Service Canada.
